This company was founded in 1816, continuing a tradition lasting over 200 years. Its primary focus is the quality of the products it delivers.

  • DAKO-CZ is one of Europe’s three largest manufacturers of pneumatic, electromechanical, and hydraulic braking systems and components for freight wagons, passenger cars, commuter units, locomotives, maintenance vehicles, metro sets, and trams.
  • Rolling stock equipped with DAKO braking systems and components is operated not only in Europe, but also in China, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Algeria, and Saudi Arabia.
  • The company has its own development activities and a modern testing laboratory. All this enables it to respond quickly to customer needs.
  • As part of its environmental program, the company is particularly focusing on the Brake by Wire system for tram brakes. This environmentally friendly solution eliminates oil management and the risk of oil spillage in the event of a tram crash, which is common with hydraulic brake systems. DAKO-CZ was the first company to successfully implement a high-speed electromechanical brake, and it is the only one with Polish reference projects as of 2019. More are now underway in Germany and Latvia.
